We're meeting in front of the Bank of America Tower, across from Bryant Park, to stage a mock trial of deadbeat corporations, followed by a massive march with dozens of ally organizations.
Angry at the corporations and billionaires that pay to lobby their way out of taxes while you pay your share? ...(more)The richest 1% take home 25% of our nation's income - they are not paying their fair share into the public coffers. Corporations making vast profits pay no taxes. Put them on trial!!! Join with fellow taxpaying citizens to put these corporations and billionaires on trial before our Judge of Civic Decency. COME - BE PART OF THIS PARTICIPATORY THEATRICAL MOCK TRIAL AND MASSIVE MARCH. Join with hundreds of other tax paying citizens to charge corporations Bank of America, Verizon, Bain Capital, Paulson Group Hedge Fund, General Electric and Wells Fargo and many others who paid zero taxes, as well as the billionaires with uncivic, immoral evasion of their public responsibility to pay their fair share of taxes. Charge them, along with the lobbyists they pay and the politicans they buy in this public court in the park. At the conclusion we will chain up the corporations, close up the corporate loopholes, take their tax dollars from their pockets and finally deliver a tax bill across the street to the Bank of America headquarters. We will then join with other progressive groups and unions in a huge Tax Day march to BOA, Verizon, Wells Fargo, Chase, and the 34th St. Post Office.
